I am a physicist and self-taught photographer. Being out in the world and being present enough to make pictures of the things that draw my attention excites me. In that sense, my photography is rooted in documentary practice.

Born and raised in rural Bengal, I draw from ancestral history and personal experiences of cross-cultural dislocation. The themes in my photography are shaped by what I encounter and reflect upon. I am currently focused on long-form storytelling through photo projects and independent publishing.
